Rain storms and new friends
Ah, so on the way to pick up the first tandom bike that is going with me to NYC, it was raining hard. Not that summer rain that we all think of, no. I am talking about the rain that comes with a hurricane. Winds were blowing, rain was coming down like water from a fire hose. Not to mention that when we got to the house, the rain, the thunder, and the lightning was still around. Not knowing how the bike rack would fare on the car, we drove slowly home, very slowly. By our calculations, if we leave on Friday at noon, we should make it to the race on race morning… With my co-pilot, Stephanie, we both think that it should be a great adventure, but a long fun filled weekend. Finding friends is always good, and finding friends that like to do what you like to do is priceless. So wish us luck on the way up there, and with the race for all the athletes. It is going to be a fun weekend, if all the equipment makes it there.
Be happy, enjoy life, and remember:
“One day at a time- this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not come yet. Live in the present and make it so beautiful it will be work remembering”
